Agenda is the sound of despair, the sound of the wasteland, and the sound of the apocalypse. Inspired by American hardcore, Swedish d-beat and Norwegian black metal, these guys have created their own blend of melodic crust punk and are now ready to take you on a journey to a dystopic future with their latest record, aptly entitled Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues.
Do you like to drink tea and sip fine red wine, you say? OK, you may as well listen to Sting and Dire Straits. However, if you prefer pitch black coffee and cheap punk beer, Agenda might just be
what you’re looking for.
The band was started by Hans Olaf (Avast, ex-NAG) and Trond (Avast) when the world should have ended, in December 2012. Their mission was to create the heaviest and grittiest punk band in Norway.
They initially recorded and released a four-track demo in early 2013, with Hans Olaf on bass and vocals, and Trond on guitar, drums and vocals. Robin (Dödsstraff, ex-Töxik Death) joined on drums
shortly after, before Håkon (Dödsstraff) completed the line-up as the band’s bass player.
In the summer of 2013, the band recorded their first full-length record Menneskehetens Massegrav, which was released on Negative Vibe Records in the spring of 2014. After a handful of shows in
Norway, they embarked on their first European tour together with Swedish crust band Myteri in the summer of 2014, a tour that resulted in 14 gigs across 11 countries.
After a brief period of little activity, the band was back with a bang (and a handful of new material) in the autumn of 2017. The endgame of the comeback is the band’s sophomore full-length
record Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues, recorded and mixed by Ørjan Lund (Avast, NAG) at Tentakkel Audio and mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege. Apocalyptic Wasteland Blues is
the soundtrack to the apocalypse and is scheduled for release via Fysisk Format in August 2019. Shut the world out while Agenda commits an all-out d-beat assault on your eardrums!
