Conceptualized during a prolific period of writing for front man Nima Walker, Hillsboro's single “sleep dealrrr”, available July 24th, is a poignant addition to their growing catalog. The second single from their upcoming EP White Trash, “sleep dealerrr” was initially planned to be included on Hillsboro’s 2023 debut, however after an intensive run of live performances the group soon realized they were working on what would be their next step.
On “sleep dealrrr” Hillsboro delivers on their signature blend of grit and vulnerability, but expands it into something far more natural and immersive. Informed by the volatile energy of their live performances, the song embodies this transformative period for the group. With swaths of distorted violins and noise laden guitar parts, it’s Walker's impassioned vocal performance that provides the song its undeniable emotional backbone.
