Good Riddance’s new single, "No More System to Believe In," arrives at a time when the systems we once trusted to uphold peace and liberty have led to division and conflict. Through this powerful melodic punk anthem, the band channels their frustration with a world where the interests of profit and power overshadow the common good. The lyrics reflect a deeper disillusionment, questioning a global society that seems to fuel the very struggles it should work to resolve.

The song reminds us that the power to rebuild lies within each of us, but only if we are willing to challenge the systems that fail us—by advocating for just policies, supporting grassroots movements, holding leaders accountable, and fostering connections within our communities.  Stream "No More System to Believe In" now on all digital platforms, and check out the lyric video, created by J Sek of backyardgraffix.com, on our YouTube channel.

Vocalist Russ Rankin shares:

“A Hope…To believe in this society as a vast, interconnected body, and that the voiceless suffering and malaise of our neighbors are ours as well to bear. Actioned by lifting each other up in the small, nascent moments when there is no immediate glory or brilliant reward in it. And by reimagining the breathless vigor and star-crossed hope with which this grand experiment was originally conceived. For no machination of government, nor whip of authority, may succeed in stifling our capacity to care for, and support one another in what must ultimately be a unified struggle for vitality, liberty, and a more equitable distribution of life’s blessings.”

For over 30 years, Good Riddance has been a vital voice in the punk scene, crafting anthems that confront political and social injustice head-on. Formed in Santa Cruz, California, the band gained early recognition with their 1995 debut For God and Country, which laid the groundwork for their signature blend of fast-paced, melodic punk laced with sharp, socially conscious lyrics. Over the years, they’ve released a string of influential records, including A Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion and Ballads from the Revolution, cementing their place as a band unafraid to challenge the status quo.

Good Riddance's fierce political commentary spans decades, addressing issues ranging from war and inequality to the personal struggles of mental health and addiction. While their message has always been rooted in resistance, the band also emphasizes hope and the belief that change is possible through collective action. Their enduring influence is felt across generations of punk listeners who were introduced to activism, vegetarianism, and social justice through their music.

The band's latest single, "No More System to Believe In," channels this same spirit of rebellion. It’s a powerful reminder of the need to stay engaged, even when it feels like the systems around us have failed. Produced by Cameron Webb the track continues their legacy of melodic urgency and timely commentary.
